The diocesan Office of Facilities and Construction provides consultation, service and assistance to the parishes, schools, cemeteries and agencies of the Diocese for environmental, life safety, maintenance and construction projects. In addition, the office provides in-house preparation of specifications and assistance seeking bids for smaller construction projects where the services of an Architect or Engineer are not warranted. The office also provides guidance and assistance to Pastors and Agency Directors in disposition of surplus real estate assets.
Pastors and Agency Directors in need of services in these areas for specific projects or general advice should contact the Diocesan Facilities Department. Facilities and Construction will assist in the:
•Selection of an Architect/Engineer or Contractor
•Methods and materials of construction
•Scope of work, bid packages and specifications
•Recommended list of qualified bidders
•Procedures for bid receipt, evaluation, review and award
•Administration of the contract
Working with The Office for Planning and Financial Services, Facilities and Construction provides consulting assistance with the Diocesan Administrative Polices for Title VI - Capital Projects to parishes, schools, cemeteries, and other agencies throughout the Diocese.
Facilities and Construction assists in a consulting capacity with Diocesan Administrative Polices Manual Policy school environmental policies and oversees management of various diocesan owned properties including the Chancery campus complex.
Administration of the Diocesan Electric and Gas 3rd Party Energy Broker program and the Diocesan Remote Net Metering credits program available Diocesan wide to parishes, schools, cemeteries, and other agencies. Along with, partnering with Solar Energy providers, for the installation of various solar energy fields, roof tops and car ports.
