FAQs for participation in the annual Marian Procession:
1. Who can participate? The entire People of God are invited to take part in the Marian Procession: priests, deacons, religious, and laypeople. We kindly ask priests to confirm their participation so that everything can be properly prepared for the liturgical celebration.
2. How to participate? Ways to participate in the Marian Parade:
• Parish Participation: Each parish may participate by representing the Marian devotion that is venerated in their community.
• Group Participation: Apostolic groups, Marian groups with a particular devotion to the Blessed Virgin, or any other parish group may also participate. Representation may include an image of the Virgin, a banner, or a float.
• Individual Participation: If a parish is not participating through one of the above-mentioned forms, parishioners are welcome to join the procession by walking alongside the present Marian devotions as a sign of faith and unity.
3. How to register? Those interested in participating with a float, banner, or image of the Blessed Virgin must complete the following form: https://dioceseofprovidence.org/gmpreg. This is very important as it will help the committee in charge of organizing the parade to properly arrange the procession order.
5. How to help with refreshments after Mass? We have a committee organizing refreshments after the Mass. If anyone would like to collaborate with this ministry by donating something to share or offering their time, please contact Celso Vera, Coordinator, Office of Hispanic Ministry, 401-421-7833, x233, cvera@dpvd.org.
