The Gregorian Concert Choir and Festival Orchestra will present a Concert entitled “The Sounds of the Season” at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Providence on Sunday, November 30 at 3 p.m. The Concert, featuring the music of Advent and Christmas, will benefit the Diocese of Providence “Keep the Heat On” Challenge which assists poor and low income families with utility expenses. Tickets for the Concert may be purchased by calling the Cathedral office at 401-331-2434. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the Concert.

PROVIDENCE—Most Reverend Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., Bishop of Providence, has appointed Melissa Behm as Diocesan Director of Development and the Catholic Charity Appeal. She has been serving as Assistant Director of Stewardship and Development since 2023, with a primary focus on the Catholic Charity Appeal.
Most Reverend Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., Bishop of Providence, has appointed Timothy McCaig as Executive Director of the Catholic Foundation of Rhode Island (CFRI) as well as Consultant for Diocesan Development. McCaig will lead the non-profit foundation which stewards endowed funds for the long-term stability of charitable, religious, and educational institutions within the Catholic Church in Rhode Island. One of the largest Catholic foundations in the country, CFRI has more than $159 million in assets under management.
PROVIDENCE — Since arriving in Rhode Island, Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R. has spoken openly about the need to review the strength, viability, and long-term plans of parishes across the Diocese of Providence. Strong, vibrant, and well-resourced parishes are needed to further the Church’s mission of living and sharing the Gospel. This continues the work that his predecessors began during their tenures as bishops.
