June 30, 2019(PROVIDENCE, RI) The Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence announces today that it
will release the names of clergy, diocesan and religious order priests as well as deacons, who
have been credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors. Bishop Tobin stated last year that the
list of names would be released sometime in 2019.
The complete list of names as well as other pertinent information will be published
Monday morning at 8:00 am on the diocesan website: www.dioceseofprovidence.org.
As this list is made public, it is our hope that it provides healing and consolation to those
who have been harmed and is a sign of our ongoing commitment to transparency and
protecting children and youth.
