When Jesus appeared to his disciples after the Resurrection, he greeted them with the simple words, “Peace be with you.” This follows upon what Jesus said to them at the Last Supper: “Peace I leave with you; my peace is my gift to you . . . Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.” (Jn 14: 27)
While traveling home recently, for a long overdue visit to family and friends, I encountered several interesting situations – and people – that seemed to be a microcosm of the culture in which we live today.

PROVIDENCE — Fast tempo talent, high energy vocal harmony and complete joy for the Lord — that’s what The Hillbilly Thomists brought to the stage during their long-awaited evening performance, which showcased and celebrated traditional bluegrass, folk, Gospel and Americana music at the Providence College campus. With certainly something divine in the delivery, fans were treated to an unassuming evening of evangelization through the quick picks of a banjo.
Our final session is ONLINE via ZOOM on TUESDAY, APRIL 26 at 7 p.m. For more information about the synod, the survey, or this special Zoom session, click here
Many women and men have walked down the same path as you and have experienced the mercy, compassion and healing power of Jesus through a Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat. A Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat is an opportunity for any woman, man, couple, grandparent or sibling struggling with the emotional or spiritual pain of abortion. The weekend provides the time and space to enter the grieving process, to identify effects of the abortion, and to release deep feelings of anger, shame or guilt. Click for more.

“Why do you seek the living one among the dead?” (Lk 24:5) These iconic words of the angels to the pious women who went to the tomb on Easter morn summarize the core of our Easter faith, that Jesus is the “Living One.” On Easter Day and throughout the Easter Season we continue to proclaim our firm belief that Jesus is alive. That proclamation, though, leads to another important question. If Jesus is alive, where does he live? And the truth is that Jesus lives in many places, in many ways.
